Patterns and Operators for Application Development and Execution Control (Departmental Seminar)By: Maria CecĂlia Gomes The presentation focus on the relevance of pattern usage and manipulation for the development and execution control of distributed and parallel applications. To this extent, a methodology is described which is based on pattern (templates) as first class entities spanning an application's life cycle, and their operation through distinct classes of pattern operators. Both patterns and operators provide separation of concerns in the dimensions of structure and behaviour allowing flexible composition, refinement, and control. This work was developed during the PhD Thesis. Date: 22 Sep 2009 Location/Event: Distributed Collaborative Computing research group, School of Computer Science, Cardiff University, UK |
