COTEC Portugal together with FLAD, Portuguese Universities and HiTEC Centre from the North Carolina State University (NCSU) set up a programme for which projects were proposed and the best ones were selected. The intent was to create necessary environment by bringing together people with a technological background and people from the Business Administration area and build a business plan for a start-up enterprise based on proprietary innovative technologies. Support was additionally given by private Funding Agencies and private enterprises. Our proposal which included 5 innovative technologies was selected for participating in this action. A business plan was prepared. But business requires products and so development work was necessary and has been since then carried out in order to have a demonstrator.
