MyPrivateEC2 - End-to-End Privacy Enhanced Services for AWS EC2

This project is focused on the research, design, implementation and experimental evaluation of privacy-enhanced services for cloud applications supported in Amazon EC2. The project investigates privacy-enhanced mechanisms for DBaaS environments using a Full-Fledged End-to-End Privacy-Enhanced Middleware System.

Technical Note:

This project will research and evaluate the design of Database Privacy Services, in en environment using a Full-Fledged End-to-End Privacy-Enhanced System based on the Cipherbase Approach. The objective is to design, implement and evaluate a common middleware approach for full-fledged SQL private DBaaS systems or Key-value Stores (KVS) base on Hadoop. We intend to evaluate the system with the conventional setting provided by the Cipherbase Platform, using Microsoft SQL Server for efficient execution of queries using both secure hardware and commodity servers intermediated by a middeware trust base running in the client-side. The results of the project will be integrated in the development of universal and ubiquitous multi-channel payment gateways, developed as AWS Cloud specialized services for EBanking Platforms. The selected case-study for integration is a payment backend supported by the Oracle Flexcube Core Platform.
