SecMos - Mobile Operating System Security
Abstract. Today’s commodity mobiles devices are widely used. How- ever, they still fall short of their full potential. Many security critical ap- plications, such as voting applications or health care information system applications, are not yet being implemented and executed in commodity mobile devices due to very demanding security needs and assurances. Needs such as exclusive resource usage, or the assurance of such needs being enforced are still not provided by today’s mobile platforms. This paper proposes a new access control model and presents a system that implements it, SecMos. This paper also explains how SecMos achieves these demanding security needs as well as how it will be implemented and evaluated in future work.
