On the Effectiveness of Trust Leases in Securing Mobile Applications
MSc Post-Graduation
Abstract:

Abstract. In recent years we have witnessed a tremendous evolution in mobile devices’ capabilities. However, there are still activities not yet supported because of security vulnerabilities not yet fully studied. Nowa- days’ mobile OSes do not offer developers the proper tools to guarantee these apps’ stringent security requirements. On the other hand, the few security extensions created for these OSes, capable of providing those requirements, force developers to perform overly complex work. To solve this issue, this work focuses on assessing the effectiveness of a new pro- gramming model in enforcing these security guarantees. Keywords: Resource Access Control, Trust Lease, Mobile Electronic Exams, Context Aware Resourse Control
