Improvements on the KNN classifier
The K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm (K-NN) is a method for classifying objects based on closest training examples in the feature space. Though a simple machine learning algorithm, its performance can be very slow due to its lazy-learning nature and the classification precision can be low in some cases, by comparison to other classifier algorithms.
