Redes de Sensores sem Fios
In a world where technological development evolves to help the user tasks, small devices appears with energetic autonomy, processing power, memory, communication capacity and sensors dedicated to observe the environment in which they are integrated. In this way, devices deployment is done at the event location and consequently providing a more precise monitorization. Since these devices communicate among them in a wireless environment, they are easily deployed and aggregated in a network, not having the associated cost of a wired network installation, and consequently forming a wireless sensor network. These networks demands new protocols, since traditional protocols aren’t adequate for the new challenges caused by these networks constraints. The new protocols main objectives are the achievement of resource efficiency, mainly in terms of energetic resources, in order to extend as much as possible the network lifetime. In this work is presented a wireless sensor networks state-of-the-art study, including an explanation about these networks, applications examples, existing hardware platforms information, protocols, services and operating systems.
