CITI is a partner of a recently approved UE COST action road transportation support systems based on autonomic computing. The local PIs is Maria CecĂlia Gomes, also national MC.
The action aims at uniting and aligning groups from transport studies, computer science and engineering into a world leading research community that will develop radically new ways of designing road transportation support systems based on the ideas of Autonomic Systems. Namely, if used as a platform on which to implement leading edge road transport support (RTS) technologies, Autonomic Systems have the potential to deliver savings in the cost of system configuration, maintenance, and infrastructure, while potentially improving network efficiency and reducing the chances of human error.
The action involves several academic and industrial partners in UK, BE, BG, CZ, DE, ES, FI, FR, GR, IE, IT, NL, PT, SE, BR, and US.
